Hoppy Friday!

So as I was saying Harrington, we have a lot to do this weekend. We need to keep Mama focused on all her tasks and projects.

We should probably make a few more windows in the cardboard box and

blah, blah, blah. Blah, blah. Blah blah.

Harrington are you listening to me?

Men...ridiculous.

Hoppy Friday everybun! We'll see you back here Monday.

Barrington Bees

The bees have bling.

I decided to add some gold sparkle yarn around the edges. I think they are pretty happy about it. :)

They visit the flowers every day. Good friends they are indeed.

I'm really thrilled with this Folk Art Fusion (TM) piece. Yep, it will be in my book.

I named this piece Barrington Bees because I live on Barrington Way and I thought it went well with the whole story in my head. However, I was inspired by this song from Blind Melon called, No Rain. It was popular back in the 90's. I always loved the video. The little girl reminds me of myself. Totally dorky, but happy knowing there are always others out there they "get" me. ;) hee, hee, hee.

Listen and enjoy.

Have a fun day! The bunnies will see you back here on Friday.

xx,
Michelle

March of the Monarchs -Folk Art Fusion

It's done! Another Folk Art Fusion(TM) project for my book. It was so much fun to make! I do keep saying that don't I? hee, hee, hee.

My aunt Deb and uncle Rick visited us this weekend. Deb and I had the most wonderful time stitching together. She helped me come up with the name "March of the Monarchs." I thought it worked perfectly with the continuing story in my head. See the Scarborough Hares post below.

Every Saturday, at Scarborough Castle, the Monarchs march around the gardens. It is there duty to make sure everything is in it's proper place and that the vegetables, flowers and plants are happy. They visit with each and every one.

This is a very fun piece to make. Hand stitching can be so therapeutic. I love that it is portable as well.

After completing it, I decided it would look perfect hanging in my bedroom. Plus, this is David's favorite one so far. What do you think?

Many friends are emailing me and asking when my book will be ready. I'm so happy that you are as excited about this as I am! Right now it looks like mid September. I will be taking pre-orders for it in July. Stay tuned for more details later.

Have a wonderful, fun and happy day. Hop back on Wednesday for a sneaky peek of another piece.

You've got a friend

Sometimes life seems to be nothing but chaos.

A journey down a long path of uncertainty.

So many friends are having a hard time right now. Sickness, money issues, sadness, loss.

They are running away from storm after storm.

It makes us sad.

We wish we could send bouquets of flowers to everyone. Just something pretty to look at.

We send light, love and prayers around the world every day. (Bunny is a gift from dear friend Judy)

Sometimes all we can do is be a friend.

You always have a friend in us.

You are loved.

The Scarborough Hares

Do you ever get so excited about something that you just want to hop around, clap your hands and do...well, the Happy Bunny Dance? This is one of those pieces that makes me do just that.

Over two years ago, while listening to music in Bunnyville, I heard the song Scarborough Fair by Simon and Garfunkel. I immediately wrote down Hares instead of Fair. I did a quick little doodle and there it sat in my idea drawer.

For two years my little doodle just sat until now. Sometimes you have to wait for something to have the right moment. You may remember that I was having a hard time drawing the back legs on the bunnies. Finally, it came to me.

After completing my sketch, I heard a different version of the song by Celtic Women. I loved it and it made my imagination soar. This version of the song inspired me to turn my drawing vertically. I envisioned a banner hanging from a castle gate. A banner of "The Scarborough Hares." Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme live within the castle. They are the beloved hares to the children of  the royal family.

May I present, "The Scarborough Hares." This Folk Art Fusion (TM) piece will be in my Fabled Fusions book this September. I can't wait to show you how to create them. It's so much fun! Stay tuned for workshops and lecture dates. I would love to visit your guild or group, hug your neck and have lots of fun!

This is the version of the song that was my inspiration.

My heart goes out to all the folks in OK. So incredibly awful. With so much sadness in the world, I do hope you find a little bit of happy distraction here with me and the bunnies. Sometimes all we can do for others is show kindness and love. You don't have to be rich to give hugs.

We love you and the bunnies will see you here on Friday. Spread light, love and kindness everywhere you go today.

Almost done and a little music

Hi ya! Did you have a fun weekend? Mine? Well, it was wonderful. I got so much done. I played with the bunnies and I went to see Star Trek with David. We do love the movies and popcorn too!

Here's a few peeks of what I did this weekend.

Hand stitching, couching and embellishment.

Floating borders there are indeed.

Come back and join us here Wednesday. We'll show you the finished piece and tell you the name and how it became.

Until then, enjoy some beautiful music. Let it take you away to another place. Let your imagination soar. Pretend...you are a bird...you are free. Believe in all that you can be.

Smile and be happy like my little friends who come to visit me each day.

I'm really attracted to the colors in this video. Hmm....

 Butterflies...yep those colors. Cool.

Light, love and hugs to you,

Mid-Month Madness! I can see clearly now.

Hellooooooooooooooo! It's time! It's time!

It's all been quite mad around Bunnyville. I have a major deadline on June 1st and I'm late! I'm late! I can't think straight! My little pea brain has been working overtime on my book. It has to be my only focus right now or my graphic designer will be really mad at me. What's that saying? Poor planning on your part doesn't constitute an emergency on mine. Needless to say, I didn't design a postcard for this month.

However, it is Mid-Month Madness and like I said in the beginning of the year, ya never know what it will be.

It's funny how one's body decides to make some changes as it get's older. The main thing with me is my vision. My eye's have decided to have a midlife crisis of their own. I now have two different distance prescriptions and a reading prescription! Are you kidding me?

Hello!

I tried the multi-focal contact lenses as I like contacts and have worn them a long time. But, I got dizzy and almost fell down the steps and backed my car into the garage wall. (Shhhh...dont' tell David!) Plus, I really couldn't see well enough close or far. Well poo!

I decided to just face the music and get me some glasses. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh...I can see clearly now! Happy Bunny Dance! I look kinda funky, but hey, I'm an artist, that's ok.

So this month, I'm celebrating being able to see 2020 again! Woo hoo! I decided to give a 20% discount on any order over $20 in my SHOP! All you have to do at checkout is enter the coupon code of 2020. hee, hee, hee. :)

If you are new to my shop, please be sure and read my shipping policy so you don't get scared!

Now is a good time to try a kit. There are only a few Harrington and Hannah kits left. Patterns are still FREE.

How about some Valdani 3 strand floss?

Some National Nonwovens wool felt?

Some new scissors? This sale will only be good until this Friday, May 17.

But, you know we always have a giveaway. I have a signed copy of Quilt Maker's 100 Blocks Magazine,

and I also have this really fun purse pattern to add to it! You can make this purse to match all your Summer outfits! This is just the pattern, not the purse.

To enter the giveaway, leave a comment on this post. To get two chances, become a follower of our blog (right sidebar) or sign up to have my posts delivered to your email (top of the right sidebar).

The bunnies will use the random number generator to pick the winner on Friday. Remember, the sale ends Friday too.

Here's to seeing 2020! Oh, and being a little funky too. :)

Light, love and hugs to you!

Start the week with a sneaky peek and some happy.

Hi ya! Hope you had a fun weekend. I didn't get much rest. Sometimes all I have to do is take a deep breath, walk away, listen to some music, dance around and zip, pow, bing...the inspiration hits me!

Here's a sneaky peeky of the main piece for my book. I finally got the back leg of the bunny to leap correctly! Woo hoo!

Here's how the butterflies are progressing. (Still working on the name for this one. Any ideas?)

Here's how the Barrington Bee's are progressing.

Of course, the employee's got plenty of rest. Harrington decided the tent was a nice place.

Hannah had a party in the hay basket and then flopped down in the middle of it.

Ok...so I love my employee's to bits even if they are lazy little bits of fuzziness.

I kept plugging away. I listened to some music from Lindsey. Here's a little clip to start your week off with some positive, happy, fun and big smiles. Music really is the universal language of love and friendship.

Ok. See ya back here on Wednesday for Mid-Month Madness! I've got something a little different planned for this month. Madness it is!

Hugs, light and love to you.
Michelle and the Bunnies.

A quiet, hoppy Friday.

Hi there. Harrington here. Mama is tired. She's been working really hard on some deadlines. She drew and drew and drew for 5 hours yesterday. She was having a hard time getting her leaping bunny's back leg to look right. She finally did it at 9:00 last night night. This will be the main piece in her new book. It was inspired by a song. She'll show you more next week.

Until then, Hannah and I decided we would just do our "cute factor" as Mama calls it. We know it helps Mama break out of her slumps. Plus, we get extra snuggles. She can't resist us.

Hoppy Friday! Have a fun and creative weekend. We'll see you back her on Monday.

xx,
Harrington and Hannah

Lady Hannah Goldenhare - Nothing Gold Can Stay

Hello dear friends, It's been a minute hasn't it? My last post was over a year ago. I decided I wanted to stay in my bubble where it...
